My friend and his wife got married in Europe and my husband and I could not go to the wedding. They were at our wedding two years ago and I have no idea what is the appropriate wedding gift? Do I give them half of what they gave us since they did not have to pay for us at their wedding? Should I send a check or get a few remaining items from their registry? I am planning on having my wedding ceremony on the beach in Rhode Island where I live. The reception itself will also be at the beach inside of a beach club (indoor, very nice wood floors, right on the beach) the ceremony will be right outside of the club. I have two options for dates that are available in the summer of 2009 and they are June 13th of 2009 or September 5th of 2009! I cannot decide which date would be better. Any input would be appreciated!
