I don't think you should include 2 registries in the invitation...that always looks tacky! So much easier to register online to avoid this mistake. I used MyRegistry.com for my bridal registry. I was able to add items to my registry from any (and as many) store that I wanted. The best part was that all of my gift items showed up on one consolidated wish list. I def think that registering online with MyRegistry.com is the way to go and can totally avoid this issue.

We are going to a wedding with a honeymoon registry and it is tacky because it is not a true registry: the bride and groom have not announced what hotel sand restaurants they would like to go to, and allowed us to buy a night or a gift card for a specific place, instead they used a site that said random stuff like, "A flight to Hawaii" along with 8 "gifts" you could buy of $250 each. No airline - no flight info, no way to maybe give your 100,000 frequent flier miles to them to buy the tickets. That is a thinly veiled way to ask for cash, and it's low class. Not to mention no fun for the guests. These people have "registered" for over $10,000 without giving guests any information of what they're getting for their money. So sad.

Weddings Feedback: I've had this problem and solved it by giving the bride a picnic basket, one that contains all the makings for a picnic for 2 or 4 people -- plates, utensils, napkins, wine glasses. I've even added a bottle of wine, candles, and tapas spreads. If you get the one for two people, it's a very romantic gift; the one for four people may be more practical if the bride likes to entertain. It's always been a big hit at every shower.

Weddings Feedback: Buy her a tree, one she can have in her house or one she can plant outside her new one. Along with the tree buy her the book "The Giving Tree" by Shel Silverstein. This has been a big hit at showers I have been to, it's unique, something they will always have, and they can watch it grow through the years and know it was there in the beginning.

Weddings Feedback: You know her, Get her something beautiful. Something classic. So extravagant that she would not buy it for herself. Something she will remember was from you.
