What is a good bridal shower gift for the girl who has everything?

Can you answer Jaim Jaim’s question about Weddings?:

My friend’s bridal shower is this weekend and Im clueless on what to get for her. She already has her own home and everything she needs, the girl has everything. I hate just giving her a gift card, I want to give her something really nice because Ive known her for almost 20 years! I thought of getting her some lingerie as a gag, lol, but I want to get something serious. Do you have any ideas? Thanks!

Weddings Feedback: Even a girl that has it all, doesn’t mean she knows how to do it! Get her the book: Kamasutra. And Adassa;s “Kamasutra” CD. The song will aid her way!

Weddings Feedback: Get her a gift card, either of a department store or restraunt. Or just go out for girls night on the town and tell her how you hope that the marriage won’t affect your friendship.

Weddings Feedback: You can make a gift basket up of a night of relaxation, romance and pampering. You can put in there some bubble bath, a relaxing music CD, candles, a gift certificate for a video store, hot chocolate, microwave popcorn, a fleece blanket for two, and matching boy/girl jammies and slippers.

    Weddings Feedback: Go to or

They have beautiful stuff and the styles are constantly changing. I know at potterybarn they have some nice monogrammed things too. Just look around and get her something you see that you know she might not spend the money on, but would want.

Also, a gift certificate for a couples spa visit would be nice.

Weddings Feedback: Go with her to a spa for a day and get massages and pediures together! You’ll get to spend the day together and it will be relaxing for her to do something so indulgent before her big day.

Weddings Feedback: I am a photographer. Something i’d suggest is to offer helping her your assistance with the wedding day preperation and in the meantime gather advice on mariage and put into a letter type card or scrap book. Maybe include her family members with quotes and tips from happy memories or even fights and making up!

Weddings Feedback: Buy her a locket that she can put her fiance and her picture inside. (or put one of your pictures and her picture inside.) This is pretty sentimental, and I think she’d love it.

Weddings Feedback: The best gift you could give her is advice NOT to get married. Plus you save the money on a gift… And she will thank you later.

I figure I have a 65% chance of being right, given the divorce rate!.

I am sure you will come up with a great gift, but I think the day spa thing is a great idea, because you can enjoy it with her. And After all, she has everything, so you really can’t impress her with monetary gifts. Why even try?

The spa idea is a personal gift of your time with her together. Time remembered forever…

    Good Luck!

Weddings Feedback: i would give her a wal-mart gift card

Weddings Feedback: Give her something sentimental/personal. Since you have known her for 20 something years a photo album w/ pictures you guys have taken over the years - Objects that recall certain memories for you guys - Something like that would really touch her heart in a different gift card, gag gift sort of way.

Weddings Feedback: You know her, Get her something beautiful. Something classic. So extravagant that she would not buy it for herself. Something she will remember was from you.

Weddings Feedback: YES one of those sets for photo album you make your self.

Weddings Feedback: Buy her a tree, one she can have in her house or one she can plant outside her new one. Along with the tree buy her the book “The Giving Tree” by Shel Silverstein. This has been a big hit at showers I have been to, it’s unique, something they will always have, and they can watch it grow through the years and know it was there in the beginning.

Weddings Feedback: I’ve had this problem and solved it by giving the bride a picnic basket, one that contains all the makings for a picnic for 2 or 4 people — plates, utensils, napkins, wine glasses. I’ve even added a bottle of wine, candles, and tapas spreads. If you get the one for two people, it’s a very romantic gift; the one for four people may be more practical if the bride likes to entertain. It’s always been a big hit at every shower.
