Can you answer pops21′s question about Weddings?:

The wedding shower invitation indicated where they were registered but I thought bridal showers gifts were suppose to be more intimate … do I bring the wedding gift to the wedding shower or the wedding? I’m so confused !

Weddings Feedback: The Bridal shower is supposed to be gifts for the bride and groom, such as a gift or gift card from where they have registered. The bridal shower is for the bride. Stuff such as lingerie, or little personal gifts just for her. I got pretty decorative pillow cases and some pedicure stuff. .and something sexy to wear on our wedding night. When I got married I did not have a wedding shower due to the fact that people usually bring gifts to the wedding as well ..yes it is double the gifts, but it eliminates dupicates if you only have people bring presents to the wedding and not the shower. .hope this helps.

Weddings Feedback: The wedding shower could be for every one that’s in the wedding!
A bridal shower is just for the people the bride have in the wedding!
A bridal shower is mainly for the bridal to send one last night with the girls being single!

Weddings Feedback: The wedding gift gets delivered to the bride’s home two weeks before the wedding OR you can take it to the reception. This is totally separate from a shower gift. Bridal shower and wedding shower are the same thing. It is the “theme” of the shower that can differ. For example, it could be a Lingerie shower, a kitchen shower, a wine cellar shower for couples, etc. Only the word “bridal” and “wedding” is different and that is up to how the hostess words it. Your shower gift is usually 1/4 to 1/2 the cost of the wedding gift for the couple and is taken to the shower. The “bachelorette” party or “hen night” is usually for wedding attendants and best friends of bride and that night is a party night with no gifts.

Weddings Feedback: I don’t think there is a difference in either….. They are both the same… An event where close friends and family come to shower the bride and groom with gifts, usually off their registry. Sometimes games are involved, food, etc.

The only thing I can think of why one is labeled “wedding” and the other “bridal” is this:
Bridal Shower would be your typical, all girl event where as a Wedding Shower might be a co-ed shower… Where both men and women attend.

Hope this clears things up for you!! :)

If you have any further questions, email or call the host of the party and ask :)

Weddings Feedback: A wedding shower is a shower thrown for the bride and groom. A bridal shower is thrown for just the bride. The wedding gift goes to the wedding shower for both of them. At a bridal shower is where the bride receives items for her, usually lingerie or gifts for the bride-to-be.

Weddings Feedback: wedding shower and bridal shower are the same thing. it’s women only and people buy gifts off the registry or bring gift cards for the bride to open. the gifts are intended for the bride and groom. there might be a separate lingerie party but few people do that, in fact out of the 20+ weddings I’ve been to I’ve never been to a lingerie party. sometimes people bring gifts to the bachelorette party like sex toys, lingerie or booze to stock the new couple’s bar.

basically if you go to the shower you bring a gift, and then you bring another gift to the wedding.

Weddings Feedback: Hi there, I think bridal shower are gifts for the bride for personal use, while the wedding showers are gifts for the honeymoon. But anyways for just reading, below is a link that will inspire you regarding gifts. thanks.

Weddings Feedback: They are the same thing. Wedding and bridal mean the same thing. As far as the gifts, it really depends what you want to do. In some areas of the country, the gifts are only given at the shower and the couple doesn’t receive anything at the wedding itself. In most areas though, gifts are given at both but not everyone is invited to both events. But most people just buy one gift because that’s all they can afford. In the current economy, no one expects you to buy several gifts that you can’t afford.
