Can you answer In Gainesville’s question about Weddings?:

I am having my wedding in California and most of my guests and wedding party will be coming in from out of town and from different places. I don’t have the option of holding multiple bridal showers -not enough people in any one location and who would be hosting?

Either I forgo the bridal shower, or I have it a couple days before the wedding so that people can attend. Is that appropriate?
